Halo 3 + You = Brain Corruption!

It was certainly a launch not to be forgotten, and had set it’s own record in the entertainment industry, but a few days have now passed from the epic release of Halo 2.45 3 and the fires have died down significantly. I have been reading a few articles here and there about it’s release, and stumbled onto this article.

I believe we may have written about this fellow before, but Lyndon LaRouche is a political activist who is infamous for doing time on conspiracy charges in the late 80’s. The article in question was not written by LaRouche, rather, it was authored by the the LaRouche Youth Movement Counter-Intelligence Team. What’s funny is that the article hardly bashes on Halo 3; it ends up being a strange mashup of sociopolitical propaganda involving the gaming/entertainment industry.

I can understand that action games don’t exactly promote the best intentions, but video games are hardly the only medium to blame. And how this specifically ties to Mr. LaRouche is a mystery to me, but they sure fall short in providing specific arguements to support that. Anyway, give it a read and share with the rest of the BOSCT crew how severely it confused you.

  1. Holy crap. It’s not even Wednesday yet.

So, if I understand this article, playing Halo 3 will turn me into Dick Cheney?

I’ve never paid much mind to LaRouche…in fact, I had this vague idea that he was someway associated with the Libertarian party, but I guess he’s even crazier than them.

This article is so misguided and paranoid, it makes me want to weep. What’s scarier is that one of the links on Wikipedia’s LaRouche entry for someone who is against LaRouche, but is just as friggin crazy:
