Mad Dog

Some one decided it would be a great idea to set up a website dedicated to the cheap wines. Entitled Bumwines.com it chronicles some of your favorites, such as Mad Dog (aka MD 20/20) and Night Train. For those of you who like to consume alcohol, but are low on cash this website is for you. They even rate the wines by flavor, cost, and even warmth.

Oddly Boone’s Farm is absent from the list. The site does give a reason for that as they state the amount of alcohol is not substantial enough for the bum looking for a quick buzz. Still the site implies the wines are mostly consumed by the homeless, but reading this reminds me of high school.

  1. When I was a young lad, I would buy Boone’s sometimes. It’s like alcoholic kool-aid. But you have to drink a whole bottle just to get a buzz.

Back then, I worked at AM/PM. We NEVER had to restock the MD 20/20, Night Train, or Thunderbird. It just didn’t sell. We just had to dust off the bottles once in awhile. Guess we didn’t have enough bums in the neighborhood.

  2. Man, I remember Boone’s with fondness. That and Carlo Rossi was all we drank at high school parties (no beer, I partied with girls). I remember I could get a pretty good buzz from Boone’s. Probably a combination of my being utterly without any resistance and weighing a bit under a buck.

  3. Mad Dog is simultaneously the first alcohol I’ve ever consumed, stole and got sick from….all in the same day….ah if I could 14 again.

  4. MD 20/20:

Has the power to help a person enter his own world, this drink has similar affects to weed in respect to the abslute stoned “dont wont to move” feeling.

I like to drink a can of strong lager (Stella Artois) then a third of a large bottle of Mad Dog (preferably peach), then a nother can of the same lager, then a third, then a can, then down the last third, obviously over a period of time not all at once.

This fucks me up, and not in the usual sense, this stuff is special. It has to be tried to be believed.

I hope the user has the same experiences that i have had.
