When Gambling Pays Off
There are always some interesting developments in the world of gambling. Unfortunately for Vegas, most of these developments are about how to cheat or outplay the games and devices they employ.
The Guardian UK recently posted an article about a device that gauges the speed of a spinning roulette wheel and the ball, and calculates where the ball will likely land. While not exact, it does enough to counter the small percent advantage most casinos keep.
These devices have been outlined in most of the world, but not in the UK for some reason. The casinos there are expected to police themselves against this con.
Further research provides a book that was published about this technique a while ago called The Eudaemonic Pie. The reviews aren’t favorable though, so I will not be purchasing.
