Getcho drink awn

Now that we’re experiencing record breaking heat, I think it’s time to bring to your attention some adult-beverage related links to help you cool down and relax.

Extratasty
This site is comprised completely of user submitted drink recipes, complete with ratings and those tags you crazy web 2.0 kids love so much. There are a lot of drinks obviously springing from the fertil booze loins of college students “Take 1 part of every liquor known to man and pour that shit in a wheelbarrow…” but there are some real diamonds in the rough as well. Ratings for each drink are available as well to help you sort the wheat from the chaff.

Tikibar TV
This internet show (or video blog, or *ugh* vlog) follows the escapades of three denizens of a tiki lounge, with each new episode introducing a drink you’ve never had before. It’s mildly funny, and the production values are actually pretty good (as good as a show filmed in 1 room with 3 people about drinking can be), but worth an add to your regular internet viewing schedule. Also, the one girl on the show, Lala, is so cute you wonder why she’s not on real TV.

Forbes Magazine’s 10 Cool Summer Cocktails
The inspiration for this post, I just stumbled across this site today. A few of the drinks listed look pretty tasty, while some I sort of question (cucumber mojito crush?). Try some out and let me know if they’re tasty. I have a kid, so my drink exploration is severely limited.

  1. Lala is quite attractive.

    My favorite drinking sites are:
Beermapping lets you find a local pub or brewery.

Liquorsnob is a somewhat corporate blog that nonetheless has some cool articles and reviews.

For wine drinkers I have found Cheapwinereviews to be a reliable site. Plus they just mentioned WineWoot. I haven’t purchased wine online before, but I might just try it from these guys.

  2. Thanks for this great post, i have bookmarked your site in the hope there will be more of this
