I love the Muppets, and not just for the inter-species mating. The Muppets were incredibly well written, truly the first childrens act that was enjoyable for adults, or was it the first adult act that was “clean” enough for children… whatever. It was such a high quality act and it really spanned all sorts of genres and mediums: popular music, drama, comedy blended with the more classical forms of childrens entertainment. The Muppets are the evolution of the Punch and Judy and extrapolated to the nth degree. Well, that and Pigs in Space.
