Conspiracy theories – Bohemian Grove
I’m a modest fan of conspiracy theories, but one was just called to my attention that I’ve never heard of before surprisingly, Bohemian Grove is located in the Redwoods north of San Fransisco and is an annual vacation retreat for many of the country’s elite. Notable guests have been Henry Kissinger, Richard Nixon, the Bushes, Reagan, high level bureaucrats, and various CEOs of large corporations.
The event is held each year for two weeks where powerful men gather to do whatever it is powerful men do. At the beginning of the vacation they hold a strange occultic like ceremony where people in robes sacrifice an effigy at the altar of a large stone owl. Dubbed the Cremation of Care, the service is reported to represent the idea that all members are to forget the problems of the outside world while at the Grove.
What’s interesting about this place is that the media is barred from entering even though people do make public policy speeches at the events. Those speeches are supposed to be kept under wraps by it’s members. It is rumored that the Manhattan Project was planned there. Ralph Nader has stated his concerns about the lack of public exposure to musings of heads of state.
Of course this place is ripe for conspiracy theories. The most notable is the idea that at the Cremation of Care ceremony the effigy being burned is an actual human being. There are others of course which include wild homosexual orgies, which probably stem from the fact that women cannot be members nor even work there. Richard Nixon once said of the event “The Bohemian Grove, that I attend from time to time — the (inaudible) and the others come there — but it is the most faggy goddamn thing that you would ever imagine. The San Francisco crowd, it’s just terrible. I can’t even shake hands with anybody from San Francisco.”
Now I don’t really care how people vacation, but damn a whole two weeks without women? What’s a holiday without cleavage?
Listed below is a video from conspiracy theorist guru Alex Jones, who acts like he believes in what he’s saying. It’s a long one, but it shows the Cremation of the Care ceremony as well various other parts of the encampment. Bonus is it’s got dirty hippies being…well…dirty hippies. It’s a long video and I’m sure only Mattbear will be interested.

In 2000, Jones and an assistant infiltrated the Bohemian Club and filmed the opening weekend ceremony, known as the Cremation of Care, which Alex claims has Druidic and Pagan backgrounds. His footage can be viewed in his documentary “Dark Secrets Inside Bohemian Grove.”
However, Jones fails to mention that the TRIO television network was working in conjunction with him on the project. TRIO has repeatedly aired their version of the program. While Jones’ video is highly edited and grainy, the TRIO camera work was very professional and showed the entire “Bohemian Grove” event. The presentation looked to be nothing more than a play, similar to the dinner theater presentations at the national restaurant chain “Medieval Times”. TRIO showed families sitting in bleachers, eating snacks and drinking beverages. After the play, a fireworks display was presented. (A highly unusual response to a so-called pagan ritual.)

Much as Scarlett Johannson has become the BOSCT unofficial favorite babe, I think Alex Jones just became the unofficial favorite conspiracy nutball.

This is weird that you should post this. My dad is a total wannabe conspiracy theorist and I ordered him a 4 pack of Alex Jones DVDs for Christmas, including “Dark Secrets: Inside the Bohemian Grove” and the supposed sequel, “The Order of Death.”
I can’t wait for more conversations with pops about how a New World Order is happening before our very eyes.
